July 7/06 Another amazing
PPG flight - story by Mark
After more than two weeks without a flight I was starting to develop
a strange facial tick and an inability to concentrate on anything
for more than five minutes at a time. I needed my flying fix
and I needed it bad!

June 26/06 Canadian Aviation Expo -
Another year and another air show done. I have arrived to Oshawa on
Thursday afternoon. It took a while for the organizers to figure out
which spot to put me in. It was worth the 40 min of waiting as I got
to be on the grass with all the big planes and not by food stand
like last year.
June 20/06 We fly a lot.
Again picked Mark at 4:15. Off to the Staff's runway.
Winds under the escarpment are hauling but here it is definitely
flyable. Since it was overcast till 11 am, the thermals are still
working. There is 1/2 cumulus in the sky. We take off and spend 50
min playing in thermals. At one point I fly down wind for about 3
min not making single turn ascending at 270 ft per minute. Just
great conditions... Read

starting training with us in April
2004. He purchased used set of gear. Basic paramotor and old DHV
2 wing that was difficult to inflate. He worked hard but the glider
was too difficult to work with. Serge dropped out of the course and
tried on his own. One busted prop later he hooked up with another
instructor. Another broken prop later I have received a call. Serge
would like to come back and fly. This time Serge purchased new
glider and after couple of hours Serge flew for the first time. This
was in fall 2005. This Friday Serge came back hoping to fly more. We
quickly completed 4 flights. Well done Serge.

Superb flight yesterday.
I regularly hook up
with Mark for flight after work which means I pick Mark up around 4
pm. We drive to one of our flight locations take off and enjoy air. Yesterday
flights was great. First little bit of ridge soaring motor off then
XC to Bieda's with use of occasional thermals. Landing at Bieda's
hoping someone would turn up with cold beer. No one did ;-( so take
off again and back to our air strip at Staff's place. Rest, and
another short flight but wind actually picked up so we decided to
pack and go for beer instead.

PS: Great flight
and if you ever wonder if it is possible to land in grape vineyard.

Flight and... beer!
flight with Mark today. Winds were from NE around 20 km/h. Near by
our place is part of the escarpment that we were trying to ridge
soar. Unfortunately the condition for motor off soaring were not
ideal so we had to use our engines on and off. The longest I stayed up with motor off was about 5
min. Our second flight was to the lake Ontario. Awesome!
