After 8 years of part time studies I have finally completed my
June 6/06 Amazing 2 hour flight
last night - write up by Mark.
Busy at work, I wasn't really paying much attention what the
weather was doing until around 3:30pm when I received an e-mail from
Andre asking me if I wanted to go flying after work. Well naturally
I said yes. I finish at 4pm and Andre was there by 4:15pm.
Normally I bring my flying stuff to work 'just in case', but
today we had car problems and I had not removed my stuff from the
boot (trunk) of the car. I would just have to fly in what I had, no

paragliding record. This is for non motorized flight.
pilot Karel Vrbensky flew 290 km over flat terrain with average
speed of 54 km/h. With respect to this flight Karel said "There
are days when you are at work wish you were flying. There are also
days when you are trying to fly but wish you were at work. It is
nice to realize there is also third option..."
Check Karel's track log here.
Please note that this is for non motorized flight.
May 20/06 Walkerjet F16
throttle with adjustable cruise control by Jason Hayward
I have been happily flying my Walkerjet Simon
RR for a couple years now, but there has been one minor detail I
have wanted to modify since owning this paramotor. One of the
distinct features of the Walkerjet paramotors is the ergonomic F16
throttle with a one speed locking cruise control button built into
the handle. Although the built in cruise control is a nice feature,
it lacks the ability to adjust to variable speeds. This is why I decided to modify my handle to add the
functionality of adjustable cruise control. The following 20 steps (with pictures) will show you how to
modify your F16 throttle with adjustable cruise control...
just had a two batches of very very bad fuel. One about 3 weeks ago
and one on Sunday. With the gasoline prices rising, additives, such
as alcohol and methanol are cheaper alternatives and the gas
companies are mixing this stuff in big way. I have heard of 15 - 20
% additives in gasoline these days. If your engine starts to act weird,
does not idle well, dies off occasionally and does not react to HI
and LO screws, you have a case of bad fuel. Drain you gas tank, get
fresh gasoline from different pump station, mix fresh fuel and that
should take care of it. I seem to have good luck with Petro Canada
89 octane fuel.
Another great pic from Sunday morning flight.
Mark took this one. Nice eh. Can you guess where I was flying?
