It does not matter that it is cold and there is tons of snow if you have PPG snow machine.

Well this is not related to flying but why not. I have filmed and put together short climbing video for my other business so I thought I would share it.

Feb 13/06      Trike tips.

Hang test:

Once you have your paramotor mounted to the trike you must do hang test. By mounting trike your normal balancing point can change therefore it is very important to suspend the whole aircraft from rafter or such and make sure the angle is appropriate. In flight cage of the prop should be slightly tilted back. If this is not the case change balancing point by moving sling and carabiner on comfort bar to appropriate hole. Remember that this is your balancing point for flying with trike.

At the flight location:

Once this is tested you can proceed to trike flights. When you use the trike at the location you are flying from make sure you limit the amount of riding around unless the surface is absolutely smooth such as paved runway. The trike is design for managing take offs and landings only....

Jan 31/06      New paramotor for our tandem trike

Last season we have been flying tandem flights using our tandem trike equipped with Walkerjet RR paramotor  based on 200 cc Simonini Mini plus 2 engine. With this set up we could take up student pilot up to 180 lb. The ceiling for this machine was about 2000 ft with maximum payload (pilot and student pilot) of 360 lb. The climb rate was very slow and it would take a while to climb to 500 ft so we could leave our field safely. I also did not like the fact that we had to use full power for most of the flight, there was simply no spare power if the passenger was in 160 - 180 lb range...

Jan 25/06      Do I still exist?

Well some of you who visit on regular bases probably wonder if I still exist. No updates for almost 3 weeks. So here is what I am up to. I am back at Brock University finishing my degree in economics and these last two courses are taking lot of my time. Peaks (the climbing gym I own) is busy this time a year so I have to dedicate fair amount of time to it as well. As far as flying goes it is bit cold and rather unpredictable. There was bunch of nice days but I always had something planned so I could not take the advantage of the nice and balmy weather. I am also working on new tandem unit. In the past, students could receive dual instructions in Simon RR based unit but we could only offer this to students under 180 lb. I have researched new more powerful engine that will allow us to offer tandem flight training to heavier students. I am currently in the process of mounting this engine to WJ frame. In probably 1 week or so this engine will be ready for initial run up. There is also bunch of people who took advantage of the winter sale  (thanks very much) so I am in process of finalizing the orders to WJ and Sky Paragliders and the equipment will be here soon. Over all as far as flying goes, this is the time to get all the gear ready for new season, relax and reflect on some of the great flights we had in 2005 year.

Dec 15/05       Walkerjet tests new motors in Tunisian desert.

Viktor Prochazka owner of Walkerjet spent 2 weeks XC flying new Walkerjet paramotors in extreme heat and sandy conditions in Africa. The "new XC" and "new RR" equipped with W130 and W200 both performed flawlessly.
