Fabric sack for quick PG packing:

After almost 3 year of standard procedure preceding every flight consisting of unpacking, unfolding, hooking up paraglider and repeating the whole procedure after the flight in reverse got me thinking there must be a better way. Well I did not spring into the action until I saw a “lonely” tablecloth in my Peaks office that has been forgotten there long time ago by one of the birthday parties. Uuuuuhhhhhhh, that would make a good glider sack, went through my head. So I have snatched it and got to work. I am a handy man with sowing machine (you know, all the climbing gear repairs....we were even making our own rock climbing harnesses during eighties in communist Czechoslovakia because you could not buy one in store) so 10 min later I have this huge sack with a draw string at the top. Awesome. Now I just leave the glider hooked up to my paramotor and simply stuff the glider into this bag.  

I can fit in the canopy, lines and even most of the risers. 

To pack for the day, I simply put my paramotor inside of my trailer, secure it and shove the bag in. It now takes me 2 min to get ready for flight and 3 min to pack. TOTAL! I am not kidding. 

Those of you who do not have to disassemble your machine during the transport to and from the field this is the way to go! This also works great if you are taking break from flying and have to leave your glider kicking around exposed to sun.  Another benefit of this is the fact that the glider is not being folded tight and this is much better for the canopy. If you want to make your own, a king size bed sheet would probably do and if you are not handy with the sowing machine like I am, take your wife for a nice dinner and near the end of the evening mention to her a little project that you have for her…. If you do not have a wife, try sister, mom, neighbor’s wife or trained monkey in the above order - some women could get mad if you went to the monkey first you know… J
