Damages to Paramotor or Paraglider during PPG paramotoring lessons.

This may seem to be unfair that I ask people to cover the cost of repairs. You may think "I am paying good money for this course so why should I pay even more if I make mistake and brake something?" Well after teaching for several seasons we have seen these most common problems:

  • Several students broke propeller by loosing control on take off - this may or may not result in damage to the protective cage and frame.
  • We have seen holes in the canopy of paragliders and severed lines due to late reaction to shut motor off on aborted take off.

I have realized that I can no longer pay for repairs to school equipment out of my pocket. So instead of increasing  price of PPG course for everyone, I have decided to charge each particular individual for damages they cause. I feel that increasing  price of course would not be fair and would "punish"  majority of students as 95 % participants have no problems what so ever and will not cause any damage.

NOTE: All students planning to use our flight equipment will be required to sign blank VISA or MC sales slip. Those without VISA or MC will have to provide $ 1000 in cash or $ 1000 certified cheque or money order. Blank credit card slip, $ 1000 cash or cheque or money order will be returned at the end of the course or upon request.

So how much will it cost me if I damage something? See it in the middle of the waiver: http://www.poweredparaglidingontario.ca/download/release.doc
