POWERED PARAGLIDING STORIES.

Quick flight - April 10, 2003

The weather forecast was good,  I called Chris and we decided to hook up for some flying.

This is Chris with his "Fly Product" paramotor and  below is his Hathor Symphony glider. He is selling his equipment as he is planning to purchase WJ paramotor and Sky paraglider.  If there is anyone out there looking for cheap, older, entry equipment willing to fix couple of things here and there let me know.

It was quite windy - Chris was practicing kiting.

I went for quick flight since I wanted to test the new "AntiParaBlend Prop Guard". See it below mounted on my Simon XC plus formally Simon RR.

It was easy take off - no running at all.  (24 km/h wind)

As you see, no snow on the field. We can do more training this weekend. Yupiii.

Our vehicles from 500 ft AGL.

My Sky Paraglider - Lift 28.

The prop guard worked like a charm. I did not feel any difference during take off or while flying.. This improvement will decrease some pressure on take off attempts as no one, students in particular, do not wish to "parablend".

Chris came with me to Peaks after flying because as he wanted to hang in my simulator setup and re-adjust his harness. We also re-sow couple straps to make his harness more comfortable. Then it was off to my house for couple off beers and chat....
