Powered Paragliding Ontario - Paramotor PPG lessons, powered paragliding training.Buggy traction kiting and paramotor riding with Ian - Nov 10/04 My buggy finally arrived so I hooked up with Ian undisputed kite/buggy master get some basics down. It took us while to get the kite ready as last time it was used by Mark the lines got so tangled that the whole thing needed to be taking apart. Anyway after while we had everything ready.
Here is Ian, the wind is now gusting to 35 km/h.

It actually got too windy to use my 3.5 square m Rebbel kite (gusts up to 45 - 50 km/h) and since we were running out of time it was time to fire Ian's machine and ride it around on his new trike.

...and weeeeee.....weeeeee....ride it... ride it... Good day. I got some kite basic down. Actually I was out just couple days ago and was able to ride the buggy back and forth with great control. I think I had it going close to 25 km/h couple of times and actually wished it was windier. Simply awesome when too windy to fly. Dora's in not the only option anymore when windy are high. As I said before I am working on adding brackets that will allow WJ paramotor to be attached. Those who do not have the physical strength to use WJ as back pack will have the trike option. This modification will not alter the buggy at all so it can be converted back to the kite buggying in matter of several minutes. I sell the kites and buggies. If you are often cursing the high winds and have nothing to do, order a kite and buggy and you will no longer be disappointed if it is too windy. It is great fun. Quick intro lesson will be included. Oh, one more thing. Once there is snow on the ground you can grab skies or snowboard and do the same. That will be great addition to my down hill and cross country skiing + ice climbing. Yeah and in the summer I am going to get bigger water kite and take it to lake Erie for some kite surfing. That will be awesome fun.... |
